Atelier Meravelles is a warm workshop to create and learn the job of dressing and the art of a useful textile, where people are the most important thing.
It is a place where you can have fun by feeling through your own hands. Enjoying the passion, the personality, and the innovation at learning the resources needed to make a piece of clothing, in the field of design, pattern design and sewing.
Designing your clothes and accessories, completely personalized, is possible! You don’t need any previous knowledge. 100% effective work system, elaborated and reformulated daily since 2005, experienced by people of different ages and professions.

ESTELA MARTÍ
Estela Martí Huguet. Fashion design. Teaching. Artistic direction.
At 17 she finished her classic dance degree at L’Institut del Teatre. A knee injury during a rehearsal ended her dancing career. She studied Fashion at BAU and Textile Art at Llotja. For years, she walked all around Barcelona with a measuring tape around her neck and carrying a sewing machine under her arm, teaching people how to create their own clothes from scratch. In 2005, she created Atelier Meravelles where she teaches people of all ages, genders, and professions the art of dressing while unleashing their potential and identity.
PROCESS TO CREATE A PIECE
OF CLOTHING OR ACCESSORY
Learn the whole system of work, to master the craft of clothing, and thus achieve total autonomy, which will allow you to create your own clothes, the clothes of others, or your own brand or collection.
IDEA – LEITMOTIV
We will look for the idea or leitmotiv, from an initial brainstorming, based on the need, use or motif of the piece. We will create an inspirational mood board and a sketch drawing. Likewise, we will design the garment, thinking about the context in which it will be used.
DESIGN – PATTERN
We will learn to build our own custom patterns, and to modify their stitches and shapes. Thanks to this system, we will be able to create infinite designs. We understand the pattern making, in an agile and complete way. Thus, getting a library of patterns that will allow us to create all the clothes in our closet.
FABRIC – MATERIAL
We will discover how to choose the appropriate fabric for the design and pattern we have created, both aesthetically and structurally. We will select the fabric, with which we will start working. It can come from specialized stores, but we put special emphasis on the use of industrial recycling.
TAILORING – FINISHING
We will cut the fabric, starting from the pattern, and we will start to define the finishing touches, and which machines will be involved in the construction of this garment. We will decide the final finishes, such as appliqués, zippers, zippers, trimmings. Final sewing by machine, and total finishing of the piece.
